THE CALMING STRIKE
These words are stilled The rapturous homestead I am intended A stand eased yet fleeting - Removed of recognition Who are we outside we? Retreatists and widows Anchored hopes Tilling regretted earth A crimson line An unfavorable season Are we empty or unfilled? Taken yet not bled - A stand fleeting not eased Am I intended? The rapturous homestead These words are stilled

A BREATH
There was a time when I once believed in simple behavior but currently as an attempted adult I find tender truth belongs with the bottled misconceptions of surrounding ages like my struggles with acne and physical manifestations of desire which are now carried so valiantly and yet still worried over during intimate trials of private personhood for whom very few are available for honest rebuttal...

CONTEXT REMOVED
… and that was when I started reading several female-curated blogs. … we’re at least 4 games of scrabble away from there. … so I climbed out the window and wandered the park till they left. … just leave me a bill and I’ll be happy again. … they’re like friends, but without the friendly part.

STREET CRED (LACK THEROF)
No tattoos. No broken bones. No missing teeth. No family divorces. I’ve never been hungover. I’ve never taken a sick day. I did not drink before my 21st. I did not party on my 21st. Without external struggle. Without a college degree. Without monetary debt. Without pets.

NAIVE YEARS
There’s a lick of you in every tooth. There’s a part of me that forgets truth. There’s a hard sell for your patron mouth. There’s a pleasant curse from leaving doubt. There’s a place where we can clean a lie. There’s a peasant’s cause where you hide need. There’s a small splice from my hand’s belief. There’s a fient of you once...

TO BRANDON
There are lives that should be deceived. There are no lies that require the same. Tiny splinters or broken jawlines. What pain endures more pain? Killing, killed; there is no difference. Slicing the trigger and closing the eyes. Prevalence is yours for the choosing. Just don’t forget it left you here.

TWENTY-FOUR LENGTH
They, nor she, have known these days beside roadways and window lines. Passing shoulders cornered in my sight; unseen air gives my abandonments more weight. I live and lie an audible frame for which no persona perceives. Myself, only I, have known these days beside retreatists and widowers. Paths we take yet eyes are tilted; anchored hopes tilling regretted earth. We live and lie a stalemate...

DISPLAYED REALITY
Reporter: Well, the film [Shame] is quite shocking, isn't it?
Steve McQueen: Not particularly. We all have sex, we all see what Michael and Carey [Mulligan] have, as far as being naked. Maybe because it's onscreen it's shocking, but that's maybe because it hasn't been portrayed on screen. What's unfamiliar, at least to me, is someone with a gun shooting someone in the head. I think we made a film that was responsible. I don't care -- NC-17? Brilliant! Fantastic! Bring it on! I take full responsibility for it. I think most violent films are not responsible, they are completely opposite of responsible. Film should reflect real life. Otherwise, what's the point? Just make superhero movies all the time.
Reporter: So what bothers you on the screen?
McQueen: A crappy movie.
- I'm on your side any day, Steve.

TO END OR REPEAT
Six hundred and thirty-four feet separate that birth from this bed. Nine and a half miles stand legs and memories. Eleven kilometers love, spite, bleed. Seventy-two miles test wills and legacies. Six hundred and thirty-four feet separate that birth from this bed.

mills: Here he is: the child who sees himself as a camera would, who believes that an audience of hidden observers awaits the slightest signs of wit manifest in his doodles and daydreams, an audience which will demand that he be elected to the stage, to some high-culture Star Search, to a status of… There’s a weird sense of horror and respect when someone describes you this well.

THE ENDINGS
Why do we surpass logic with lifeless thoughts? Each of us living liars, every spire imagined infinity. Are all these regimens nothing more than post-comatose vanities? Man is the only creature that cooly ends the life of all others, yet fully believes in eternity for it’s own. Why? What makes them so limited, and ourselves limitless? Cells collided; wombed consciousness coughed then...
